As I’ve said here before, my new series takes place in New York City in the ’80s.
Boy was the research for this one fun!
I did move to New York in the ’80s, but I caught the tail end of the time period. So I was curious as to how it all looked before I got here, and I wanted to re-familiarize myself with the vibe from back then (sooo much has changed…like drastically…although, I will say that the grime that was so characteristic of New York back then has resurfaced somewhat in the wake of the pandemic, so there’s that).
So I hit up Google and searched for some visual inspiration for the series. (sidenote: what did we ever do before Google?)
